LS ELECTRIC is accelerating its North American market push by unveiling next-generation solutions spanning direct current (DC), extra-high-voltage transmission, and data center power infrastructure at North America’s largest power and energy exhibition.
LS ELECTRIC announced that it will participate in “IEEE PES T&D 2026,” held for three days from the 5th to the 7th (local time) at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois, and present core power solutions tailored to the North American market.
IEEE PES T&D is a leading North American transmission and distribution exhibition hosted by the IEEE Power & Energy Society, and is held every two years.
LS ELECTRIC will take part with a 30-booth (278.7㎡) exhibition, organizing zones for ▲DC solutions ▲extra-high-voltage T&D solutions ▲hyperscale data center solutions, introducing future strategic products that respond to paradigm shifts in the global power industry.
LS ELECTRIC will place a strong emphasis on its DC solutions capabilities, regarded as a core technology for the next-generation power market. It will showcase a wide range of DC power distribution solution lineups, including UL-certified DC switchboards, which are essential for entry into the North American market.
LS ELECTRIC’s strategy is to proactively secure supply capabilities for UL-certified DC power equipment and move to preempt the North American DC market, where expansion momentum is beginning to accelerate in earnest.
LS ELECTRIC has built and operates a “DC Factory” at its Cheonan site, commercializing DC distribution and accumulating real-world industrial application experience and technical know-how. As global big-tech companies increasingly demand improved power efficiency for data centers and seriously consider adopting DC distribution, DC is drawing attention as a game changer in the next-generation power industry.
In the extra-high-voltage transmission solutions area, LS ELECTRIC will unveil a full lineup of core power equipment, including 345 kV-class extra-high-voltage transformers as well as circuit breakers, switchgear, and STATCOM (static synchronous compensator; reactive power compensation device). It plans to highlight its total-solution capabilities across the entire T&D infrastructure—from power plants and substations to end users such as industrial plants, large buildings, and data centers.
With ongoing replacement of aging power grids in North America and expanding investment in new power infrastructure driven by growth in the AI industry, LS ELECTRIC plans to seize market expansion opportunities at this exhibition by leveraging its broad portfolio spanning from extra-high voltage to distribution.
For data center solutions, it will present high-reliability distribution systems and high-efficiency power equipment specialized for hyperscale data centers. As AI-driven data center investment surges in North America, demand is also rising sharply for high-end power solutions that satisfy both stable power supply and energy efficiency.
